About the Texture Series
A new series that pushes the expression of the paper’s own texture further by applying wax. The embossed pattern made by an engraved press roll and the colors reproduced from carefully color-managed raw materials take on greater depth after waxing. Differences in the amount of wax also produce contrasts in transparency that you can enjoy.

About the color: Silver Rat (Ginnezuiro)
During the middle of the Edo period, flashy colors were banned by luxury-prohibition laws. People responded by enjoying subtle differences in tone, and silver rat became popular as one of the “48 browns and 100 rats” (shijuhacha hyakunezu), a traditional expression for the many muted shades of the era.
