These round, auspicious kokeshi dolls are called "Happiness Daruma.
" The white daruma has the character for "happiness" (幸) written on it, and the red daruma has the character for "fortune" (福). They are considered lucky items whether displayed together or individually. They have the characteristic daruma mouth shape, but their expressions are somehow endearing. Their palm-sized charm makes them adorable, and they can be displayed and enjoyed anywhere you like.
