Kyoohoo Japanese Kokeshi Doll Oborotuki Purple (k12-4320)

The kokehis is one of Japanese craftworks.
The oboroduki is pained Moon,cloud and some cranes.
We have 4 seasons in Japan.
Oboroduki means hazy moon at night in spring.
The doll wearing spring color's kimono and put in the light pink wooden bowl.
The picture is beautiful Japanses scenery.
The kokeshi is handcraf so it makes carefully.

Kokeshi Dolls are major dolls in Japan which are made from wood.
Their origin was in Edo era (1603A.D. - 1867A.D.) as souvenirs for the injured at hotsprings.
Since then kokeshi craftsmen's skills to make grains and paint was so developed that kokeshis became ornamental dolls.
